The Directorate of Medical Education Research under Government of Maharashtra runs Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance Scheme. Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian Citizens who are domicile of Maharashtra are eligible to apply.
- Student must enroll in a professional or technical course like Engineering, Diploma, Pharmacy, MBA, etc. through CAP (Centralized Admission Process).
- Family annual income must be less than ₹8 lakh.
- Applicant must be a Bonafide student of a recognized institute.
- Minimum 50% attendance required (not for fresh students).
- No 2 years or more academic gap during the course.
- Only 2 children from one family can apply.
- Students must stay in a hostel, PG, or rented accommodation.
- General and SEBC category students are eligible.
- Preference is given to children of registered labourers and marginal farmers.
