DAAD Helmut Schmidt Scholarship 2027

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) opens applications for the Helmut-Schmidt Scholarship 2027 which is a fully funded master’s scholarship in Germany for students from developing and emerging countries. The motive of this scholarship is  help to future leaders in public policy, governance, development studies, economics, law, and related fields who want to contribute to positive change in their home countries.

The Master Scholarship 2027 For Public Policy & Good Governance (PPGG) offers tuition fees, a monthly stipend of €992, health insurance, travel costs, research support, accommodation assistance, family allowances, and a mandatory German language course. All the international students who have strong bachelor’s degree, above-average academic performance, and relevant work, internship, volunteer, or social engagement experience are eligible to apply for this Germany Scholarship 2027.

Well, the application forms for cohort 2027 is open from 1 June to 31 July 2026. And these application must be submitted directly to the selected universities not to DAAD. One applicant can apply upto two eligible master’s programs and must submit a motivation letter, CV, transcripts, references, and proof of English proficiency. After that, the Final DAAD Scholarship Selections will announce by December 2026 or January 2027.

DAAD Helmut Schmidt Scholarship 2027 Date

Well, this DAAD Public Policy and Good Governance Scholarship 2027 Application window is currently open from 1 June 2026 and will close on 31 July 2026. Shortlisted applicants will review by the selection committee in October to November 2026 and  final results expect between December 2026 to January 2027. Successful applicants will begin their fully funded master’s studies in Germany from September or October 2027.

Selection Process

Well, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) starts the selection process with the participating universities reviewing all applications and shortlisting eligible candidates. After that nominated applicants are call by a DAAD Selection Committee based on academic performance, motivation, leadership potential, and relevant practical experience. And at last, the Final Scholarship recipients selected with the committee’s assessment and notified through the official admission and scholarship process.
