Selection Process of Railway NTPC Jobs 2025
The railway board conducts various selection tests for RRB NTPC Sarkari Bharti 2025. Here is the list of exams that candidates have to pass to get single posts.
First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
The first stage cbt exam has three sections that covers Mathematics. General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. The exam will feature a total of 100 questions which has 30 questions in Mathematics (30 marks), 30 questions in General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 marks), and 40 questions in General Awareness (40 marks). Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam, and the duration for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates is extended to 120 minutes. Negative marking is applicable, with a deduction of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer. The total marks for the exam will be 100. The number of candidates shortlisted for Stage-2 will be 20 times the vacancies available in each community, based on their merit in the Stage-1 CBT.
Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
The NTPC CBT 2nd Phase Exam has also 3 sections Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. The total number of questions is 120, with Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning each containing 35 questions (35 marks each), and General Awareness consisting of 50 questions (50 marks). The total marks for the exam is 120, with a duration of 90 minutes, and for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, the duration is extended to 120 minutes. A negative marking system is in place, with 1/3 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
For Further selection, candidates have to appear in Computer Based Aptitude Test/ Computer Based Typing Skill Test (as applicable), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME). After clearing all the selection exams of RRB Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC), the board releases the RRB NTPC Final Selection List for 11,558 vacancies posts wise.
