Delhi School Summer Vacation 2026 Dates
Here is a exciting news for the Delhi School Students, the Summer Vacation 2026 Dates are Just Release Officially by the Directorate of Education (DoE) and the Government of National Capital Territory (GNCT) of Delhi. For the academic session 2026-2027, all government schools will remain close for summer vacation from 11 May to 30 June 2026.

9, 10, & 12 Students Remedial Classes Update
Well, summer break is not for all students as the the Delhi government has ask schools to organize remedial classes for students of Classes 9, 10, and 12. These remedial classes will run from 11 May to 23 May 2026. The official notification also clears that the Remedial Class depends on availability of teachers and school infrastructure.
Many students ask why these classes, this initiative is to strengthen students key concepts and improve overall academic performance. Not just that, all the students also get additional academic support. In this way 11 May to 23 May 2026 remedial classes for students of 9th, 10th, and 12th.
School Timing For Remedial Classes
The official timings for students and teachers is also release by the Directorate of Education. This timing helps students and teachers to avoid inconvenience cause by high summer temperature. Timing for students and teachers is different which is as follows –
- Teachers – 7:20 AM to 11:00 AM.
- Students – 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Period Wise Timing
- 1st Period – 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.
- 2nd Period – 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
- 3rd Period – 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Summer Vacations & RTE Guidelines Roles
Well, the Delhi government reminds schools that they must follow the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009 with planning holidays and vacations. And RTE Act 2009 clears that the upper primary classes must complete at least 220 working days in an academic year. And the primary classes must complete a minimum of 200 working days.
