DHE CHD Admission 2027-28

The Department of Higher Education (DHE), Chandigarh Administration starts online admission process for all centralized and non-centralized undergraduate and postgraduate courses from 18 June 2026. Through this admission portal, students can apply for admission in Government Colleges and Privately Managed Aided Colleges across Chandigarh. All eligible applicants can register online and submit their admission forms through the official www.dhe.chd.gov.in portal before the DHE Chandigarh Admission 2027 Last Date.

Students who have passed Class 12 from a recognized board are eligible to apply for various undergraduate courses including BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA, B.Sc and other degree programmes. Admissions will conducted online on basis of merit, reservation rules, college preferences, and seat availability. The last date to submit application forms for centralized courses is 28 June 2026.

All applicants and old students of the colleges, must register again on the admission portal because previous session registrations are reset. With one-time registration fee of ₹85, students require to submit 5 subject combination preferences, choose college preferences, upload all required documents, and complete fee payment within 24 hours of seat allotment.

DHE Chandigarh Admission 2027 Eligibility

• Applicants must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board for undergraduate admissions.
• For postgraduate courses must have the UG Degree as per asked.
• Students who passed 10+2 from schools located in Chandigarh can apply under the UT Pool.
• Wards of Defence Personnel can also apply under the UT Pool irrespective of where they passed Class 12.
• Students who passed 10+2 outside Chandigarh or through NIOS must apply under the General (Outside UT) Pool.
• Applicants with a gap year must register as New Students and submit the required affidavit.

How to Apply Online For DHE Chandigarh Application Form 2027?

All the applicants who are eligible, have all documents, and fees can fill out the DHE CHD Admission Form 2027 by following the steps below –

• Visit the official DHE Chandigarh Admission Portal i.e. http://dhe.chd.gov.in/.
• From home page, click on the e-Admission (e-प्रवेश) link.
• Register using your name, email ID and personal mobile number.
• Receive your login password through SMS.
• Login using the registered mobile number and password.
• Pay the registration fee of Rs. 85 online.
• Select New Student or Old Student as applicable.
• Choose Degree Colleges and then select Centralized or Non-Centralized admission.
• Fill in personal, academic and reservation details carefully.
• Upload all required documents in the prescribed format.

DHE CHD Admission 2026 Merit List

The DHE CHD Admission 2026 Provisional List of Eligible Applicants will release on 9 July 2026 at 5:00 PM and the College Allotment (Selection) List will out on 11 July 2026 at 2:00 PM. Applicants can check both lists on http://dhe.chd.gov.in/ portal. Merit is prepare on the basis of qualifying examination marks, applicable weightage, reservation rules, and college preferences submitted by candidates.

Selection Process For Admission

Admission will based on merit list i.e. marks obtain in the qualifying examination. All the applicants will have to provide their preferred colleges and subject combinations during the application process. Seats will allotted according to merit rank, reservation category, preference order, and seat availability.

The college allotment list will published on 11 July 2026. Once a seat is allotted and verified, the applicant must deposit the admission fee within 24 hours. Failure to pay the fee within the specified period will lead to automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.
