WBCAP College Admission 2026

The WBCAP is the central online undergraduate admission system introduce by the Higher Education Department of West Bengal. This Centralised Admission Portal is run by the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education. By registering on this WBCAP Single Platform, students can apply to nearly 460 govt and govt-aided colleges, 17 universities, and over 7042 undergraduate programmers across West Bengal. So, register now for WBCAP Online from 18 May 2026 to 1 June 2026.

Any Indian student who successfully pass Class 12 or an equivalent exam from any recognized education board can submit an application without paying any registration fee. There are more then 25 course choices from different institutions based on student preference. Admissions are based on merit, seat availability, and selected preferences. Regular UG Courses like BA, BSc, BCom, and similar degree courses are only available.

Students can complete the application process through the official websites like wbcap.in, banglaruchchashiksha.wb.gov.in, or wbsche.wb.gov.in. The first merit-based seat allotment will release on 9 June 2026. Academic classes for new session begin on 7 July 2026. WBCAP 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• All the students from any state of India are eligible to apply for WBCAP.
• Students must have pass 10+2 / Higher Secondary / equivalent exam from any recognized board/council.
• One applicant can register for maximum 25 Courses.
•  And most important fact is students must meet the eligibility rules of selected college/course.
• Applicants need not pay any application fee to register for WBCAP 2026.

WBCAP 2026 offers admission to 7042 undergraduate courses across 460 government and government-aided colleges under 17 universities in West Bengal. Students can apply for general degree courses like BA, BSc, BCom and other UG courses. But Courses like Engineering, Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, B.Ed, Fine Arts, Music, Dance, etc. and Institutions like Presidency University, Jadavpur University, Autonomous, Minority, and Private Colleges are excluded under WBCAP 2026.
